What we keep

Your email address, the handle you chose, the pieces you log, the photographs you take of them, and the text you write about them. Where you say you got a piece, and who you say gave it to you.

Where it lives

On your device first. It works with no connection at all. When you have signal it is copied to servers in the United States so you do not lose it if you lose your phone, and so it can appear on your other devices.

People who are not members

You can record that a person gave you a piece before they have an account. That name is private to your own collection until they join and confirm it. We do not contact them, and we do not show your entry to anyone else in the meantime.

Who can see your things

Only you, unless you trade. A completed trade is recorded in the history of the piece, which is visible to the people who have held it and to nobody else. Your photographs are never public.

What we do not do

No advertising. No selling or sharing your data. No third party analytics. No tracking of you across other apps or sites. We do not know or store your precise location.

Adding a festival or an artist

When you log a piece from somewhere we have never heard of, we ask whether to add the name so other ravers can pick it instead of typing it out. It is always a question, never automatic, and saying no changes nothing about your piece.

If you say yes, only the name goes, and the city for a venue. Never the piece, the photograph, the story, the date, or who gave it to you. We do not record that it was you who sent it: we keep enough to stop one person counting as ten, and nothing that points back to you.

A name you add becomes part of KandiGO rather than something of yours we are holding. It stays if you leave, and it is not yours to take back, in the same way that telling someone a festival exists cannot be untold. Nothing you send appears to anyone else until a person here has looked at it.

Deleting everything

Profile, at the bottom, has Delete account. It removes your sign-in, your pieces, your photographs and your handle, permanently and immediately.

Two things survive, and neither is yours alone. A completed trade stays in the history of the piece that changed hands, because it also belongs to the other raver. Your handle is removed from it, so it records that the trade happened without naming you.

The other is any festival, venue or artist name you chose to add to the shared lists. It was never held as something of yours, and it is not linked to you, so there is nothing there to delete.

Taking it with you

Profile has Download a backup, which gives you everything as a file you own.

KandiGO is not intended for anyone under 13.
